So just like almost anything these days, there is month in the year celebrating coffee, and it happens to be August.
Origin of this Holiday
Our research did not find the creator, or the origin of this day. We did however find that this holiday has been celebrated for many years. There is plenty of documentation to support that National Coffee Month does indeed exist but we don't know by who or why.
This holiday is referred to as a "National" day. However, we did not find any congressional records or presidential proclamations for this day. Even though we didn't, this is still a holiday that is publicized to celebrate.
So have fun with it and celebrate it!
Using the Great Coffee App that I reviewed not too long ago, I've been trying to create one of the different espresso drinks every couple of days. I recently purchased a couple of Irish Coffee Mugs to add to my list of accessories for coffee.
Tonight, I made a Cafeccino or what most places call a caramel latte. Though it tasted just fine, I didn't quite get the layering to be as distinguished as the video in the app showed. I think it's because I used a syrup that wasn't as thick and the milk I used was 2% lactose free, instead of whole milk (I rout the lactose part would have any affect though).
